I have an 89 240sx fastback. Has anyone swapped out their instrument clusters to the HUD version? Are the connections the same for the most part? How much work is entailed?

It's pretty easy. Just grab the instrument harness that runs behind the dash for the HUD. Replace your non-hud harness (it's only a sub-section) and then you're set.
