I think HUD's are great, even though the one in my car will blink out from time to time and a well placed dash smack corrects it....LOL> in all seriousness a HUD makes sense for one reason and one reason only, your eyes never have to leave the road. Sounds funny because a glance down to the speedo only takes a fraction of a second but thats all it takes for an accident to happen as well. I personally would say if you get one go with an aftermarket one that shows more than just speed because the more vital info thats posted the less time your looking down and therefore the less of a chance of you loosing your car and or life. Hate to sound like an old man but its just simple facts i speak, and i hate to see wrecked S chasis cars.

I miss mine, and wish there were more available, no gauges cluttering the dash, looking stock as hell.

Is it possible to use a DOHC HUD on a SOHC car? Or would it just be easier to use the SOHC to begin with?

At least cluster wise there is no difference i can think of other than the redline on the tach is a few hundred rpm lower on the solo slammer.

I have a digital cluster and I love it. I'm cutting my dash for HUD for sure.

yes it is all you need to do is switch the tac from your sohc cluster.. also make sure you guys get the sub harness with the cluster otherwise you cant use it.

ive only owned my coupe for 3 months now and the hud works flawlessly with 172k miles. i think the % of them failing is pretty slim. i love the hud, and i thought about swapping everything over to my hatch. go for it.
