hud isnt working

i just got a hud instrument cluster from a car in a junkyard. ive put it in and the speedometer doesnt want to work. everything but the speedo works fine. ive got a 89 hatch witha ca18det by the way. (see sig.). i dont really know the year of the car i got off of, but it did have the new front (91-94). any ideas?

Was there anyway to test it before you bought it? They are prone to going out. The one I had worked all but the speedometer. I think its bad soldering or something like that. I thing 240sx.org has a faq about it. You might search this site as well. I think it's been posted before. :batman
