HUD inop, need help.

Was wondering if anyone had any experience with a HUD unit out of a 92 se coupe. All the gauges in cluster are working except for the digital speedo. The heads up display on the dash is also not working. Was wondering if anyone knew what the problem could be, or of a fix. Or do I just need to get a new cluster or HUD unit, or both. Any help would be great. Thanks.

They go out from time to time. My old one went out and had to replace it with a new one. There is supposed to be a way to fix it with some sodering, but I'm not sure how.

the digital readout in the instrument cluster has ceramic circuit boards that dont like heat. and yes they do go out from time to time. best fix though is to replace with a new one...the one on the dash rarely goes out but the one in the cluster does go out and if that goes out the one on the dash wont work at all either. best bet...(change the one in the dash)
