hud cluster question...

My hud turns on when i start the car but then fades off about 10-15 seconds later. I searched and it appears this is the symptom of a bad capacitor. So I took my hud cluster out to check, but it looks like every capacitor is fine. So I dont know which one to replace. Should I just replace all of them or is there a better way to check (other than visually).?

Also is it normal for the cluster to have two black burn marks, one on the top and one on the bottom right of the screen? I really want me speedo working but I dont want to have to buy a new unit for $180+

what year 240.. i have a hud's dash cluster for a sohc and dohc... i have the dohc in my car that i swapped but apparently i have wiring issues with a canadian 240.... i'll let them go for 50 bucks a piece plus shipping.. both work and the sohc has the harness for the cluster and i have a HUD unit as well that i'll let gor for 30

Thanx for the link...its a 91 240sx. So its dohc, 50 bucks sounds good...how much to ship to 07666?

Having a working HUD from any year 240 is a freaking miracle in and of itsself. It would be advised that you simply let it go, it is alot more trouble than it is worth IMO. You will have to repair it again in the near future...
