HUD 9000 RPM Tach?????

I've been looking around, and I saw that some 240sx have a 8K limit on the tach and a few with 9K, but the ones with 9k limt is with out HUD, is there any way I can get the 9k limit on an HUD cluster. Will it work if i just replace the face or is it something internal?

Why in the world would you need a 9k tach? You running a rotary engine or something??

I'm prepping my SR for Solid lifter so I would be able to rev a bit higher than the normal redline and didn't want a separate HUGE tach that would compromise a clean interior. So that's why i was wondering if the 9k tach would work on the HUD unit.
