I am working on replacing my passenger side rear hub. I bought a complete rear end from japan for my car and was wondering does it matter what side I pull the hub from to use on my car. I could not find anything that specified a passenger side and driver side part difference. Are there any differences and would it be a problem if I used a drivers side hub on my passenger side?

if you are only reffering to the portion of the hub that contains the lug studs, yes both sides are the same. if you are talking about where the bearing is pressed into ,no they are different.

I am going to question what you have said as I pulled both hub/rear bearing assemblies and they look exactly the same. I also took the one side and flopped it for the other and it looks as if they would bolt up just fine. What is different about the driverside verses passenger side?

are they doweled? if they have a dowel on them they should only bolt up to the side they are intended for. The bearing it self and the hub(the part the has lug studs on it) are the same on both sides. but the knuckles are different.

you can confirm this by calling your local nissan dealer and ask them if the part#'s for both sides are the same.

I have not found any dowels on the rear bearings/hub nor the knuckles. Attached is a picture of the rear bearings.

I'll call nissan tomorrow and figure it out. Thanks
