You can begin a process of elimination for tracking down the vibration problem.
Get the wheels match balanced on a Hunter9700 unit.
Take off the aftermarket wheels and use factory alloys, then observe the ride quality at highway speeds.
Rotate tires front to rear, to see if vibration changes(do you feel the shake, in the steering wheel, or in your behind?)... etc...
It's commonly thought that a vibration felt only at certain speeds, --one that appears, then disappears-- is tire/wheel balance-related.
Just because the tires may appear to be wearing somewhat evenly, doesn't mean you don't have a not-so-true casing or bent wheel. The inside lip of the wheel is often the culprit, and often goes unchecked for bent. It'd be hard to decide whether a tire is causing a shake, just by observing tire wear. Unless you have a de-laminated tire, but you'd feel that at all speeds. Does this help?
