Having a front-end shaking issue at around 40 mph that gets worse when you decelerate. Front brakes and rotors replaced within the month and had the tires balanced today from a reputable tire shop. Shake is still there.

I want to attack this problem from the least expensive issue first. Tires are about at their halfway point with no evidence of alignment issues (no pulling or uneven wear). I also assume a wheel balancing would have turned up any wheel damage that could cause vibrations.

After some internet digging this vibration can be attributed to worn hub rings. What are hub rings and how can you tell if they are worn?

Hub centric rings are usually found in aftermarket wheels that have a bigger bore than factory. Are yours after market? A bad hub assembly might vibrate but usually you'd hear a whirring sound too.

I have stock wheels and as an FYI replaced both rear brake calipers a few years ago because one seized. I'll try alignment next.
