HU w/ 4 front and rear speakers?

my front speakers in my 240sx is horrible i was planning to buy a new hu like a alpine 9833 i was wondrin if that can handle after market front and rear speakers like infinity kappa or mb ma quartz? or what would be the best option to get a nice sound?

well if you're not planning on running any amps, just deck power, then don't bother getting components speakers, it would be a waste... also 4x6 speakers are really ****ty speakers. i suggest you get 6.5" speaker plate adapters for your doors so that you could fit some 6.5" coaxials in there. i'm not gonna suggest what kind of coaxials you should get, best bet would be to just go to a local car audio shop and listen to a bunch of them and pick the ones which sound best to you... goodluck

I concur with ayjay, don't go high end on the 6.5's if you're not gonna go high end on the power (amp v. HU). Just don't buy the cheapest co-axial's you can find, they'll most liekly sound like it.

I'm not familiar with that Alpine, does it have built in power?

Check for the plates thread. Chris from underground motorsports offers them (not on his site) and the feedback on them seems to be good. Of course, if you have woodworking skills, make your own.

the alpine w/ v drive 26 rms well i think im gettin some infinity 6.5 if ever i can buy some plates from chris

will the plates completely bolt on or do i have to cut off or drill something?
