A sad event of note for us who grew up watching him ... a comic genius and a damn good actor too.

Very sad to hear about his passing. He was a great entertainer.

Post your favorite RW flick!

Gotta be Hook for me. Maybe not because of Robin Williams though.

Yeah, Dustin Hoffman really stole the show in that one... and Bob Hoskins (also RIP recently) was a perfect Smee.

I was almost in shock when I heard about it yesterday night. I remember him from Mork and Mindy reruns when I was a wee lad.

An underrated actor, even with all his accolades.

He could play damn near anything, from the sensitive goof in Patch Adams to the creepy loner in One Hour Photo.

I always found that his performance in One Hour Photo was criminally underrated.

Good Will Hunting and Dead Poets Society. All day.

Hook and Aladdin were big deals too.

Many tributes to Robin Williams have surface since the actor’s passing on Monday, one of which was a new beautiful image released by The Walt Disney Company of the Genie, the character that Williams so iconically voiced in Disney’s 1992 animated film Aladdin.

The film was adapted for the stage in 2011, and earlier this year it made its Broadway debut. At the end of yesterday’s performance at NYC’s New Amsterdam Theatre, the cast of Disney’s Aladdin musical paid tribute to Williams by leading the audience in a rousing singalong of the Genie’s signature song, “Friend Like Me.”

Disney has released a video of the tribute here below of the singalong, which was led by James Monroe Iglehart, who plays the Genie on stage.
