Hello Gentlemen,
First thanks for this useful space. Many doubts I have, always I found answers here.
By the way I'm with a specifical doubt and I did not find in this forum even its particularity.

Taking a look on new owner's manual belong Versa 2018 selled at USA, I saw now will use 0W20 viscosity, an updating because Versa used 5W30.
The metric measure for oil called my attention and is the point I ask kindly for specialist friends a clarification. When the engine oil is replaced, with oil filter change, goes 3,5 liters.
Here at Brazil, the Nissan uses in HR16DE, including for 2018 models, the viscosity 5W30, but the metric measure with oil filter change goes 4,3 liters.
This difference of 0,8 liters is significant.

According to Nissan the engine HR16DE is same at USA and Brazil. So why at USA the Versa takes less engine oil than Brazil? Any particularity?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

It's irrelevant since the oil has to be filled to hit the proper dipstick level. Use that amount as correct.

Could be the oil pan is different, we've had that argument before.....................

@amc49, thanks for your reply and explanation.
Really reading some articles the indications is about dipstick for each market. For example, making a search I saw Nissan Sentra has 3 or 4 different level of oil along the world.
Here at Brazil, based in some news, seems Nissan will use 0W20 soon on HR16DE and HR10DE (other variation of motor with 3 cilinders we have here), with focus for economy.
Thanks.
