i have been looking at the HPI downpipes, there are two pretty interesting peices. one is the regular downpipe that eliminates the cat, on of the onley one peice models i have found that do so. and the othe is a dual tube design, as in it looks like two smaller downpipes that connect into one right at the flanges. they tell me this is for clearence issues on the sr, has anyone had clearence issues with there 3" downpipes?

if you've got a lowerd car with the 3" downpipe you might have issues with scraping when going over speed bumps.

it is lowered but it still sits about 4" off the ground if not more.

I have the one that eliminates the cat. I love it. No test pipe, bends as pretty as your mama, and Never had an issue. I did have a slight scraping but nothing that really affected the DP and was usually more damage to the bottom of the car. I would say fot the price, go for it. I love mine.

I also have an HPI intercooler kit. Top of the line, but took forever to get from japan.

so i was going to have to wait like 4 weeks on that HPI dp, and the guys at LS Automotive told me they made there own 3" DP and high flow cat/cut out. only like 30 bucks more, and they could get it to me in 3 DAYS. i was thinking it was a lie at first, but it came on time.

i swear this is the best experience i have ever had ordering from a shop online or over the phone, the guys Kevin and i forget the others name, were the two most helpfull people i have talked to, they even called me back TWICE to verify what i wanted to do and with prices. i highly recomend them to anyone.

and by the way, the DP and cut out is all aluminum and is very well made. i am pleased with this purchase over any other throught this swap

I can vouch for LS Automotive as well, those guys rock. I have bought a number of things from them and they ave always been fantastic.

As far as downpipes scraping goes, typically the lowest part on the bottom of the car is either the frame rails or the exhaust near the back of the car. I hardly ever scrape my downpipe, and when I do, it is because i am driving over some type of hump longitudinally. It has never scraped on speedbumps or driveways or anything like that.

I have the Blitz DP BTW
