I dont know if the fuel differs but general boost and mods in uk for S14 (SR20det)-

First stage is usually downpipe, decat, exhaust, induction kit, walbro fuel pump, uprated plugs and 15 psi of boost. Usually combined with a chip mapped for these mods and checked on a rolling road :) BHP depends on the car but seen anything from 250 to 286 bhp (and 290 lbs/foot torque). Those figures also compare with different rolling roads.

Add a FMIC and another rolling road mapping session and lots more bhp is possible. Biggest issue seems to be that fueling is set up properly, if not things dont last long :rolleyes

What grade fuel do you have? We have super unleaded at 97/98 ron and unleaded at 95 ron (I think), lots of cars cant run over 10 psi boost on normal unleaded without detonation, but no problems with super unleaded ;)

You guys (UK) use BHP, not RWHP, so those numbers are off by about 15% from what we quote.

If I'm right....

I have a 1990 240sx with the red top putting out 10lbs of boost. I have percision front mount intercooler, hks intake , 3 inch's all the way back from the turbo tannabe exhaust , walbro 255 fuel pump ,got rid of the engine fan and put electric fans. What is a quick and easy way to up my hp my car run 14's right now i broke 13.9 once i also have fuel cut at 125 mph at 5 grand on my tach, and would like to break both of those problems. Im 16 and all i know is how to drive my car beat on it and have my dad fix it or pay to have it fixed i feel guilty that i dont work on my own car and my dad pays for it but i cant help that. is there any suggestion i can do i would like to be putting out alot more hp i also run 110oct cam 2 racing fuel when i run her at the track is that a waste of time and money or do you think it works. im looking to be put into 12 sec 1/4 mile or high 11's but i understand that would take a great deal of money time and patients

Get a ROM tunned ECU from Scott (formerally of Secret Services). Get a bigger turbo (t-28 or better). Then if you have money injectors and a MAF.

i am re-reading this for about the third time. this time i am reading again because i just came back from the shop that is doing the swap. i have a red top, FMIC, intake, MBC, downpipe, cat back, 3 bar map snensor, electric fans, and the halteck E6X. i was thinking to push the T25 to 12psi or so. so i started to talk hp numbers with the guys doing the swap, thinking conservative at 200 220ish.

they kinda looked at me funny and asked "at the flywheel?"

thats when i kinda got alittle weirded out, this is their first sr swap and tune/getting there hands on one. they are very expereinced at tuning, but said with that setup i will only make about 190 at the wheels.

so what do you guys think?

I'd have to say, Ha, Hahahaha, haha. I guess they havent tuned sr's before.

I made 250 Rwhp @15psi on a very similar setup on a 100 degree day in moderate humidity. That is with no tuning other than an EBC.

thank you, my stomache just hasnt felt right since hearing that. i have to at least keep up with my freinds turboed gsr integra, we have been talking **** now for a month or longer. i hope its just that they havnt tuned an sr, but they have tuned alot of different setups on different cars. i hope i can make close to 250, or i might cry.

i know this really isnt the place to ask this, but im sick and tired of trying to search for my question.

what do you guys think is the best downpipe? what metal is best for heat disipation, best flow, best fit, whats crap, and has anyone tried that Jspeed **** off of ebay? i am kinda running short of cash

just commenting on the whole t28 on stock 370cc's thing... I have my profec set to .85 bar ( which i think is somewhere in the 12psi range) with no problems at all with a s15 t28 ... my air-fuel gauge is still reading right in the rich and my car runs like a champ. All that I have for fuel management is a walbro pump...

Very generic question. 10's: t3/t04e 50 trim, fuel system, fuel controller, roll cage, drag radials/slicks, crazy clutch, driveshaft loop...I don't think you really want a car that'll run 10's, esp. out of a 2.0L engine. 12's: t28, 550 injectors(at most), fuel pump, fuel controller. An s13 w/ sr20det and s14 t28 turbo, that thing will pull hard and it be fun to drive.

My SR20 blacktop put down 190whp with just an intake and a 255lph fuel pump at 7 psi, with 12 degress advanced timing Now I have a Hybrid FMIC, ACT clutch, hks super afr, blitz bov, project sylivia down and straight pipe and infamous 3" fujisubo FGK catback with testpipe. If I don't put down 240whp at 14 psi, with a little tuning, I'm gonna be pissed.

In about 2 months i am doing a top mount turbo setup and my goal is 450 WHP so your telling me i dont really need to worry about my bottom end? all i need to do to safely hold it is a Head gasket,Big turbo, cams, big injectors, AFC,Intake manifold, 300zx TT MAFS swap,Valves, valve springs and really good tuning?

JROD, This thread is not the ideal place to ask that question. I suggest trying in 240sx general or making a new thread in this forum (RWD SR20).

Welcome to nico, stick around

I know the Stock SR20DET Redtop MAFS is only good up to 270-280 WHP and the 300ZX TT MAFS is good untill either 500 or 550 i dont remember what one.

While the other mods are nice for the future, they really wont make any difference on the T25. You shouldnt see more than 250-255 rwhp at 15psi. The t25 can spin out alittle more than 15psi, but its really just creating more heat than anything at that point.
