Hi, maybe some of you gurus on the KAT subjet can help me to figure up how many hp i have on my home made cheap KA24DET set up, dyno is out of the question for budget problems. These are the aspecs:the car is a 1997 240sx with KA24DE engine, just rebuilt, 0.030 in over bored and ported head.

-new ebay ssautochrome turbo t3/t4 0.50/0.70 a/r. (reaaal cheap and low quality stuff by the way, had a lot of problems).

-tubular turbo header equal lenght.

-external wastegate tial type, 38mm, with 5.7lbs spring, i have another 8.7lbs and a 14.7lbs too. (ebay ssautochrome too, cost me an engine rebuilt, damn bastards sent me wrong spring inside the wastegate)

-big size intercooler 24x12x3.

-Blitz type bov.

-Walbro in tank fuel pump.

-FMU 8:1.

-2.5 in exhaust tube with no cats and sports muffler.

-Manual Boost control.

-Adjustable Fuel Regulator with gauge.

there are some pics on my webpage http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2212850

well what does your butt dyno tell you,is tht car alot faster or just a litle bit ??? btw if you are running the stock maf ,I say you are barely touching 270whp thats if you are using the 8 lb spring..

dude please drop that ssa turbo before you have to rebuilt the engine again.

270 whp on an FMU setup with a 2.5 inch exhaust sounds awefully high to me.

I would think more in the range of 220-230 whp, tops.

I had the same setup with a 12:1 fmu, same turbo same manifold (prbly). The numbers you're at is prbbly 200 rwhp @9 psi and 220 at 12 psi. It might feel faster cause your torque is prbly around 300. add about 10 to horsepower and torque if your car is manual

Your next purchase should be bigger injectors and an SAFC to control them. FMU's arent the most reliable way to go.
