hp gains from kae pistons and 248/248 cams on ka24de, how much $?

can anyone tell me what kind of horsepower gains to expect from running the 248 deg. cams on both sides in my ka24de, along with the sohc pistons? my ballpark guess was around 20-30? and should this be ok as long as i run premium, or would i have to fiddle with the timing? also how much did you guys who have done this pay for your cams/pistons? thanks!!

this is the same setup i plan to run. do you have an s13 or s14? because of it's lower cam profiles, you should see more gains on the s14. running premium is a must.

ive got the cams in now im bout to put the pistons in but I had them remilled down so theyll be 10.5:1 instead of 11.7:1. Ill let you kno onces the cars up an running.

why did you have them remilled? not safe to run the stock ratio?

cause 11.7:1 is kinda high an 10.5:1 can run safely on 93 octane.

sohc pistons give 11.1:1 and can be run on 93 octane.

there are at least 2 people running this setup with a jwt ecu. they are running it with stock timing. no retard whatsoever.

wow hes claimin over 180 to the wheels!! He's runnin a RB20 maf too, dunno the advantages of that.
