any timing retard? did you tune with an safc? 250rwhp is possible but it could also be making 220rwhp depending on certain things

10 psi on a T04E, My wild guess would be ~ 250whp-275whp

Too much for 370cc injectors...unless something with your setup is badly wrong.

A 57-trim T04E compressor will do a little over 260rwhp at 10psi...and 370s can only do ~250rwhp as a MAX.

If you're already running 10psi, you're playing with fire...

Sounds like you need a bit more tuning. The 370cc injectors SHOULD be out of their range at 8-9psi if that's a true T3/T04e. I ran .6 bar or 8.7 psi on 370cc injectors with an SAFC II and timing retarded 3-4 degrees and still trapped 110 all day long. Just be careful.

do you think it would be safe to get a small FMU (like 2:1) to help bump up the fuel pressure just a lil bit to get the 370cc's to flow a bit more for 10psi?

Rather than a different rate FMU...you can get a adjustable 1:1 ratio FPR.

Bump the base pressure to 4bar (58psi...stock is 3bar, or 43.5psi) ...and 370cc injectors will flow ~410cc IIRC.

That will give you room to grow.

If your tuning with a WB02 you should be able to know if the injectors are maxing out or not. But it's best not to run the injectors at 100% duty cycle for extended runs.

SR's make 270whp on 370s all day, for years without issue.

Granted it's with an additional amount of fuel pressure, and they are pegged on the flow charts.

And that's where the newbs get confused...they read "270rwhp on 370s"...and it stops there.

370cc injectors, on a stock KA rail with stock FPR...will only do a little north of ~240rwhp SAFELY.

Of course, if you bump the base pressure they'll do more...that's how I did close to 260rwhp with mine (4bar base pressure).

...

And "sunnyS14"...yes, tune them down with the S-AFC and wideband...easy stuff.

That does not necessarily mean it's safe, though...

Have you dyno'd...??? Do you run a wideband, what are the A/F's...???

Is you base fuel pressure still 43.5psi...???

If you're making less than ~250rwhp for some reason, then it's OK. If you're making more, then you're risking a blow-up.

Simple as that.

Go run at the track and see what your trap speeds are.

Asphalt dyno>chassis dyno anyways.

geo, i know before anthony got his jwt tune...his ecu was pulling timing but it wasn't consistently the same every time. how is yours? is it the same everytime or does it jump around to 17 to 19 and such and such

his ECU automatically retards timing during boost. some of the cars have actually been known to do it. i think its like 4 people out of all ka-t's im not sure. his timing goes to 21 degrees in boost oppose to 28 at WOT which is stock. he used Structures techtom to monitor it
