I'm curently shopping for my 1st z32 and wanted to share this morning's appointment with the owner of a storage location. I've spotted a 1990 2+2 5speed white pearl z32 on local add website. Long story short the guy is asking way to much for a repainted (8/10 grade paint job) with valve covers leaking and in need of complete exhaust line.
After saying that I'm passing on this one, he tells me he's got something to show me. Inside the warehouse there's like 200+ cars and motorcycles. He tells me one of his customers got a 1990 full original low km, one owner 300zx.
Lifting the car cover to reveal this gem: I found a car is in prestine conditions, 65290km ( that is an average of 2612km / year ) 5speed manual 2+2 in white.
Apparently the owner takes it out no more than 2-3 weeks per year, wash and wax it, drive it around the village and back for storage. He's doing this with 4 other cars and apperently wishing to keep them all.
Now I'm on a mission to convince him to sell the z32 lol Not sure how much I should offer for this one ?
Looking at the VIN, JN1RZ26S5LX000012 can we assume this is probably one of the very first example produce for the Canadian market? I always thought that the last 6 digits were showing the "sequence" of production, this one being #12 for 1990?
He told me to ask him back next spring lol Maybe I have a chance...who knows...
