sorry but wrong....actually PCV line goes to intake manifold, which feeds blowby gas back to the motor. you dont want all that bad gas to go into your motor. i prefere you get something like an air/oil separater usually used for air compressors and put it in between the PCV and intake manifold. also get a heavy duty check vavle during boost. then you can use one of those catchcans in between the vavlecover breather and the turbo inlet pipe.

Check this outhttp://forums.nicoclub.com/zer...et-up

BTW this is something that acutally works good and approved by WDjust need to post up pictures of it on the car showing that it's collecting blowby gas.

Which is the only reason to run a catch can at all. The entire point is to remove the oil residue from being pulled via intake manifold vacuum right into the combustion chamber. The factory does this for emissions reasons etc. Blowby is one of the leading causes of bearing failure and the biggest reason you need to change your oil.

I run my catch can like I said, it works perfectly fine, no issues whatsoever and very little, if any blowby oil. I empty it about once per week or so, and since it has a vlave on the bottom, its pretty nice and easy ^_^

Sure it does, the catch cans working great with the way you have it setup. Barely has to do a thing and no oil gets into your intercooler pipes! FTW.

The only problem is that you have disabled your real PCV system in favor of a really, really crappy one. The vacuum applied to the pre turbo pipe isnt significant at all. Your talking like, at max under the 'rare' times your at full boost 2-3 HG's, VS the 20 HG's that usually is sucking blow by out of the crank case from the intake manifold vacuum. As the engine was designed from the factory to do, the valve cover intakes fresh air to balance the air being sucked out by the PCV system.

So while your catch can works great, your PCV system is really bad and will lead to you changing your oil far more often than you should have to. Or you will just spin bearings eventually.

Probably the best one on here I know of. If you want to make a new thread I'll be happy to discuss everything I know about it as well as a few idea's I have to make the stock system better or simply remove it altogether. If you are able to remove blow-by from the oil the turbo and engine will run better and longer.
