I would LOVE it.Especially if they found a way to drop the weight by say another 100 lbs (gotta stay realistic) and have it come with a manual transmission.

Ah yes, the manual trans would make it a true giant killer. No matter the chasis.I told the Infiniti rep at training that a manual trans is the way to go with future expansion of the 4.5 appeal.:poke

Ohhhhh, now you've done it.

That is the PERFECT option for this car and would make the rear seat size a plus, not a negative when comparied to the CL, CLK, etc.

Heck of an idea!

I am in love with the M45. I plan to go drive one in 2 weeks and will write a full review...

I also plan to try to schmooze a framable picture of the new M to hang in my office (for inspiration).

I'm so proud of Infiniti for building it - I was concerned that I'd have to change brands in 3 years when I replace my Q...

Oh yes - LOVE the video.

I can't think of a more perfectly designed car... It's almost like I sat with the designers and said, "Do this, do that, no, put that further back, ok, pull that line up....". Wow.

It's amazing how the opinion of the M45 has changed over the months! The first glance reviews on the old board were more along the lines of "it's an old man's Q... looks like a Camry... what were they thinking... etc." Seems like it's being positioned as a muscle car, but I still think it looks like an old (97-01) Q with a Camry nose and tail. Maybe it looks better in person. I still like the 02 Q better, but I wouldn't turn one down if it showed up in my driveway on morning!

You know what?

I want an M45 with a six speed MANUAL!lIt doesnt have to be a Coupe as long as it is a real manual transmission. With an autotranny you always lose more power, you have less direct hook-up, you have to worry about it in hot weather, and you're afraid the run it hard , cuz they are so expensive to fix.

A Manual is not asking too much is it?It could even be a 5 speed that would be fine too

I would LOVE an M45 coupe - IF it were in keeping with a Luxo/Sport theme. It would need to be a drivers' car.

I don't really care for the styling of the M45 so stying wise maybe something in the spirit of the new Aston Martin - but with more usable back seats (hey it's my fantasy!)

Paddle shifting would be nice as well.

As would all wheel drive.

Suspension technology like the lastest Vette (see current Motor Trend article).

Build some nice Vibe into it. IE Porsche 928 has a GREAT growl when you turn the key.

If it does happen I'll have to start buying lottery tickets, or sell both my kidneys and liver if need be.

I think it would be great, esp. since the backseat is somewhat useless in the sedan (at least with 4 tall people).

I've always liked the MB S-class coupes, the BMW 6-series (coming back soon)... There's a big market for luxury coupes IF the right product exists.

MB has done very well with CLK.... if Infiniti could make something a little bigger at a similar price, I'd consider it!

G35 coupe is too cramped for big people or old people.
