I think I've finally figured out the Republican energy plan...world conquest therefore no more "foreign oil."

If that were the case, the US would not have invaded Iraq and instead would have invaded Qatar, Bahrain or UAE. Since they have relatively small militaries and very low population densities, thus avoiding the pit falls that we had in Iraq.

CZ- Talking strictly tongue in cheek, your plan assumes that the idiot at the helm would have been sharp enough to figure that out.

HAHAHAHAHHA very nice srellim

on that arguement, iraq afghanistan and Iran would make a ncie cohesive middle east base...

ANYWAYS back on topic, I doubt it would fly, and it seems the implementation leaves a little (or lot) to be desired. However I think its agreat idea in principle to get people moving towards using solar.

I always thought that an American base from Syria to Afghanistan would be a great idea. I am sure to make Helio very happy with this comment.bud

I can tell you that it ain't happening with Obama. He'll just hand you $1,000 check for gas. Or should I say Iowa ethnol?

There are many ways to produce energy and none of them are enough to supply the need all by themselves. Only McCain's 'All of the Above' is the real solution. And the Iowa farmers don't need any subsidies, they already make tons of money from illegal immigirant slaves and rising price of corn and food. Money should be spent on building nuke plants and solar panel for houses. It shouldn't be a mandate, it should be tax incentives.
