It's been done should be fine, but you are clearly at the limit there!!

The rears are 10.5's sporting 275's and again there's no rubbing....yet. The tires are completely flush with the fender. Gives it the widest most aggressive stance possible. The problem will be once it's lowered. I don't think an inch will hurt, and if anything the added negative camber will help. Fender trimming will be mandatory if I plan to attempt to tuck these bad boys at all. I'd say the 10.5's with a 255 would be ideal as it would stretch the tire into the wheel well.

We'll see. I'll post pics later.
FLUSH with the wheel well!

Why do you want to put wheels on the back of the coupe that are 2 inches wider than the front? It's FWD! Unless you just want people to think you have RWD, just put the same size on both ends. The car will be happier.

Okay, fair enough. But you will need wider tires on those 10.5 rims than on the 8.5s. With wider tires on the rear, you will make the car understeer even more than it does in stock trim. If you never corner hard, it may not matter, but if you do, the car will almost be evil.

If you are going to be spending that much money for Volks, why don't you just buy them from one of the authorized dealers in the right size? It's not going to be that much more. http://www.mackinindustries.com/contact.html Call them and find the dealer for your area.
