how will this affect my speedometer

i dont realy want to buy new rims yet but r15-205-60 dont have vary many good tires to choos frum so want to go to r15-205-55 just want to know how off my speedo will be

not much, maybe 3%. that size is actually listed in michelins MAST guide for optional tire sizes for the s13.-chet

The basic formula is this:

Take the O.E. tire's RPM and multiply by 55 (indicated speed MPH). Take that result and divide by the new tire's RPM to get your actual speed when the speedo reads 55.
