how wide can i fit in the rear s13 sportmax 962s 18x9.5 offset +35

trying to figure out the max wide a tire i can fit in the rear without flaring the fender. this is for an s13, just got a set of sportmax 962s 18x9.5 for the rear with an +35 offset. I am also rocking a set of corner 8 full adjustable dampeners. i was thinking a 265 35 18 would do just fine, but i want wide. I was thinking i could maybe fit a 285 35 18? Let me know what you guys are doing and what you come up with!

Both of those ideas should be doable, but the 265/35/18 would look better. The 285 may be over-square for a 9.5 inch wheel and I don't think it would make big difference in grip... But both should work.

On the 9.5" a 265 tire would be "square" as you put it. That's what I run on my 9.5's.
