how well built are the auto trannys in my 05 g35 coupe?

well what i was wondering was, i was considering putting fi on my g35. im not shelling out the 10k for the twin turbos but was considering a supercharger. does anyone know how much hp a auto transmission can handle or if they even do kits for the autos? please let me no what u think im new to thins thanks. :gotme

400 RWHP is the common max for the engine/transmission. I believe the transmission/rear end can handle more than the engine.

The 5AT has been around for a while and is a pretty stout box. If you FI with it you will want to add a transmission cooler and you will probably want a valve-body mod which will allow more fluid at higher pressure to pass through.

im not aware that you could do that to our trannys ? does it make it shift harder or does it improve shifting ? is it costly ? :ohno: and does anyone know if they make stall converters for this application also?

There are also kits out there as well where you can do your own. Someone did it here but I can't find the thread. I'll keep looking.
