how true are afc readings?

i just installed my afc and its telling me that im idling at 500 or so rpm but on the cluster it says 800. which should i believe?

Think of the cluster gauge as a smoothed out rough estimate.

so while the afc is reading 400 to 500 rpm at idle and the cluster is reading 800 is that rite?

Well I know mine is almost 250 rpm off from teh cluster

do you have the correct # of cylinders setup in your afc?

i got the rpms working rite. it was the cylinders.
