Hey everyone,I hope this helps you if you want to put fog lights on your car. This setup is for having your fog lights on while the driving lights are on.

Items necessary:SplicerElectrical TapeSolder IronSolderBladeWireBlue Relay from Nissan

Pre-caution: disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical harm.

Go under the hood and remove the relay bank, it's clipped in at each end.

There will be four wires going into the relay, orange (fuse), green/black (stalk),orange/black (fog light), and red/blue (energy).

Cut the red/blue down as far as you canreach into the fusebox.

This leaves the relay side as long as possible.

Now, run that side (relay side) out of the fusebox and tie it to thered/blue wire found at the corner lamp.

You can use a blade to cut away at the wire instead of cutting and splicing. This is more personal preference.

This is where the wire comes into play.

The red/blue you cut is the feed from the headlamp lowbeam, itpowers the relay coil. By going directly to either parking lamp youuse that as a feed.

On the inside you have to connect the 2-pin plug together. You are in essence grounding the 85 pin of the relay and that trips the coil.

The Relay is called a spst relay. It's OE from Nissan. That just goes right into its respective slot.

Make sure you solder and tape all the wires.

Connect the Battery and you are good to go. Enjoy!

Special thank you to Russ for his technical assistance yet again.

Wishing you all the best,Carlos Doria

Great write up. Very nice. I've been thinking of doing this for a while now. One problem though, I can't see most of the pictures. Could you email them to me please? [email protected]'d appreciate it.

This should probably be moved to the Tech/DIY section.

nice write up.

on a side note, do you know how i could possibly wire my fogs to be independent of the headlights, but still be controlled with the little ring switch on the light stick control thing next to the steering wheel?
