not sure if this is the right forum to be asking this in...but any help or directions would be great.

ok does anyone have instructions on how to wire a bi-xenon projector/ballast/actuators to replace s14 projectors?

basically i have some porsche koito bi-xenon projectors. i have 2 wires (pos and neg) coming from the ballast and i have 2 more wires connected to the projectors (for the actuator)

anyone know of instructions on how to wire these to the existing s14 )kouki) setup?

Thanks.

the actuator? so this thing moves eh? well hook up a small 9v battery to the wires and see if the assembly moves or not. If it moves, then you know you've got the actuator lines and not the headlight wires. Work from there to isolate what wires run to the low and high beams (I'm assuming since it sounds like you've got 2 pairs of lighting wires and another pair of actuator wires).

Sounds like a cool mod, can you post pics/details? I'm interested in a headlight conversion as well! I have a 96 zenki

I'm gonna guess that the porsche ballasts use built in ignitors which attach directly to the bulbs. You are going to need to wire up a relay to power the lights. Even though HID's, when warmed up, use less watts than a halogen lamp, when powering on the ballasts the current draw can be strong enough to fry your stock wiring.

It's probably going to be an easier task to fit the porsche bulbs into the s14 projectors rather than retro'ing the actual projectors into the headlamp. This will also do away with the solenoid, and leave the high beam wiring in tact. Meaning you'll have an hid low beam, and halogen high beam. Were you wanting to retro the project in or not?

Here is one that was done on http://faqlight.carpassion.inf...s.htm >> Just scroll down to 98 Nissan 240sx.

He used 2002+ BMW E46 projectors, try to email him and see if he can give you the information on wiring. You may also find a lot of information on http://www.hidplanet.com

There's also a whole writeup on retro'ing s2000 projectors/lights into a 97 240sx. I've got a wiring diagram of how to setup the relay if you want it.

You are not s.o.l. There was a guy on here a while ago who retro'ed a projector into a zenki housing, but retro'ing projectors into different housings and doing it well isn't the easiest task. You could also just buy some oem hid's, make the bulbs fit to your housings, but this isn't exactly the best way to do things. Just don't buy one of those 8000k or 10,000k hid kits.
