I drilled through behind the glove box (fit my 1/0 AWG cable fine):

thanks! i remember seeing a place where you could drill but i didnt think it was behind the glove box, i thought it was lower, like actually visible if you just leaned over. was there any problem there with drilling into the engine compartment with all the stuff there jsut waiting to be destroyed? lol i finally get my car (after about 6 weeks of waiting) tomorrow and im so excited to put my new sub into it!

If you pull the glove box out and look behind the carpet you'll see this location. It looks like there is almost an indentation in the firewall (where they were going to put a rubber boot or something but didn't). You can probably also see it from the engine well if you look back in that area. When you find it, you'll notice that you can easily drill through without hitting anything vital. I was worried about drilling at first, but once I found this spot I was a bit more confident. I put a 1" drill bit right through there with no issues. If you do this, make sure to use a rubber grommet to protect the power cable from sharp sheet metal.

Didn't even notice that. But, it's no longer the case now.

4 AWG will easily work there, and it should be easier to drill a smaller hole. Just make sure you take it slow when drilling through and you'll be fine.

As far as the grommet goes, you can see it here (also notice the circular indentation I was referring to - if you look at this picture and the more zoomed out one I posted earlier it should tell you exactly where to look):

If you're going 4 gauge I found a rubber plug up and to the right of the hole that Apple drilled. I even just cut the center out of the plug I took out and reused it as a grommet
