how to wire 5th gear when going from auto to manual. thinks

i am confused how do you wire to make it read 5th gear? can you just buy a manual ecu.by the way its a 89 240sx. if there is a website tell me. your help is greatly aprecieated. thinks.

You don't have to do that, there really isn't a need to. The only wiring you HAVE to do is jumper the 2 wires to make the car think its in neutral so it will start. All I did on mine was that and wired up the reverse lights.

s13 ecu's wont throw a code.

all u need to really do is jumper the 2 wires to make it run and thats it. as long as you have teh speed sensor hooked up, everything should work just fine

reverse lights are helpful too.

though on obd2 cars, you have to hook up ALL of the sensor or else you will throw a code

it would help if you was to get a manuel ecu the problem you are haveing for 5th gear i am not sure tho how to wire the car up so it can start i would just call your local nissan dealer
