Hi,
So im loving our new versa, I want to wash and wax it, so it looks pretty and has some extra protection for the winter. I have no idea how to do this. There seem to be alot of products liquids, clays, wax, paste ...?????
Can someone tell me what I should be buying? im scared im going to get the wrong thing and wreck the car :ohno:

I saw this thing http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4 ... ?locale=en
but what is the difference between a polish and detailer? should I get this, or something else? im not entering it into a car show or anything, just what ever a regular person would do to their car.

Your gonna want to start of with some 80 grit then 320 grit then 600 grit then 80 grit again hit it with a nice soft buffing wheel and she will be shining in no time.

dont forget the 80 grit again though aaronscomp is right and put you buffer wheel on high and let it build up speed before you touch it to your car(for a mr clean shine :) )

I have used the Turtle Wax Ice paste. It is very easy to use, you don't have to worry about gettting it on plastic or rubber parts, as it comes off like it was on a painted surface. It also beads water a lot longer than any other wax I have used.

I hope you're not taking this "80 grit" advice seriously.
Some people have a warped sense of humor.
That would be like rubbing a bag of gravel against your car.
No one in their right mind would anytype of abrasives on a new car

Go to Autogeek.net

get some Klasse wax

read about how to wax

and viola

I would personally wash the car with out spray wax. then dry the vehicle and clay bar it. Once I got that done I would liquid all in one wax with Klasse, then use a dual motion buffer (safer) and put on some Klasse sealant (wax that last a lot longer) and then use Carnuba wax on top of that.

Make sure you read up on AUTOgeek.net on how to do it. Pretty simple and the car would look amazing.
