You don't have a warranty from the dealer you have one from Nissan don't confuse the two.

The dealer shop just has a direct reimbursement plan with Nissan for any work that Nissan approves [or knows that it can get reimbursed for doing without asking permission first].

Easiest, cheapest and fastest way is to trade for an M45 Sport. No warranty issues, either.

Dealer should have explained that to you.

ROFL. . Now, now, Brian, he is asking nicely.

As Wes (elwesso) mentioned, there are some Nissan model mods you can do to help improve performance. Check out the threads here and in the 350Z forum zeroforum?id=168.

As to whether it will affect your warranty, that depends on the degree of change you are considering. Certainly adding significant engine parts (like a turbocharger) may fall in this category. Others, like a differential swap, or a muffler change, or an aero kit (not a performance item admittedly) may not.

Perhaps the best thing to keep in mind is to not do anything that cannot be reversed. So, if Nissan/Infiniti might get concerned about a change that might void the warranty, then you can change it back prior to getting the work done. In many cases, the dealers also do some of the work, and can continue to honor the warranty.

Regardless, welcome to NICO! Hope you enjoy being here.

See, now that's just hilarious.... and now I'm struggling with wanting the 45 vs the 35. I LOVE the car, I'm just worried that I'll get bored of the 35 too quickly speedwise.... thoughts?
