alright, so in the middle of Feburary my door lock on my cressida got stuck in the lock position, and all attempts to unjam it proved more work than i wanted to do; i hate working on anything inside the door, i end up cutting my hands up and its a pain in the a**

definately didnt want to take it to a shop, and pay some jerkoff either.

so

now that its nice out i went to the junkyard for some stuff for various projects i got going on, and i found a cressida, same doo doo marroon color, that had a perfect door.

alas i bought the whole thing, mirror glass and wiring; total cost: 30 bucks

then the question was how to get the door off.

ill let the pictures speak for themselves.

used a angle grinder/cut of wheel to see where the lock was located (it has this stupid plastic covering on it)

then a hammer and chisel on the lock

suprisingly it latched perfectly after i got the lock unjamed

i wanted to rock it like that for a day and see if i get any looks, but i didnt think the local authorities would find it amusing

This reminds me of the guy who cut his rim into pieces to get it off because he couldn't get one of the lug nuts off.

i like the white ones. There was a sick maroon one powered by a 2j that lived around the block from me. That was one car that really made me not care about the color. It was monstrously fast. Will yours continue to be your winter beater or are there plans for it later down the road?

excellent. reminds me of this kid in hs, his door wouldn't latch so he installed a padlock to keep it closed while driving.
