Does anyone know how to turn off the weather alerts that I periodically get? Gail warning, high wind warning, etc. They annoy me.

Lol. On the screen in the car. It comes across the audio and has a message on the bottom of the screen. It might be part of my Sirius subscription but not sure.

haha, could be. I don't have those alerts. Do you have telecommunications package? Maybe it's a part of that?

I might. The car is loaded. How can I tell if I do? I searched through the menus trying to find a way to turn it off. Not a big though, just wondered if any knew off hand.

That I'm not sure. Does the owners manual say anything about it?

That would be a good place to start. I've looked through it before but didn't see anything. I'll go through it again. Thanks.

My issue is it'll me a blizzard where I'm at and it always seems to talk about things that are 5 miles away.

I don't have any package of any sort but I still get them.

There might be a option in the GPS system menu that will allow you to turn it off. You can turn the volume all the way down, right when it starts the warning turn it all the way down and you won't hear it.

Thanks
Andy

I figured it out about 2 months ago when they were driving me crazy. It is not very intuitive. I'll find it tonight in settings and send out a reply on how to do it.

Click on Settings > Navigation > Weather Info Settings > there are three options. Turn off all three to stop voice announcements, warnings and advisories.

I hear you! I had 8 meetings today focused on COVID19. I work for a large health system in Washington We had patient #1 in one of our hospitals and we have 4 patients in Spokane sent to us from California. I hear nothing but this all day long and it dominates our news here in Western Washington.

People are losing it in the SF bay area over this. I went to Costco over the weekend and everyone was in a frenzy over toilet paper and water.

Damn this aged like milk haha

I’m reviving this because I actually WANT to turn the alerts on. But I’m in Toronto and my nav settings location for some reason is set to Buffalo, NY and doesn’t show any Canadian cities on the list to choose from. Even the national map is only of the US not Canada. I bought the car in Canada though.
I get random weather alerts for Buffalo but I haven’t been there since the Bills hosted the Brady’s Pats a few years ago...would be nice to get home alerts.
