How to turn off the car alarm without the key FOB

Hello.

I am a fairly new owner of a 1998 Q45. My girlfriend recently left the rear light on and the battery went completeley dead. Now when I put the charged battery back in, the alarm goes off. Unfortunately, I did not get the key FOB with the car. I only have the one key.

What is the process of disabling the alarm with just the key?

Well you have to do it the old fashioned way and put the key in the trunk or any of the two front doors.
