How to turn off A/C, but still receiving air?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

How to turn off A/C, but still receiving air? I read the manual, if I push the A/C button again, it will turn off A/C, but it's also for heating...I just want air to flow inside the car.

A big Canadian Welcome to NICO, wuitsung!!

The following steps will give you outside air without A/C:1. turn off the A/C (press button until it's NOT lit)2. ensure outside air is selected (recirculation is NOT selected)3. decrease the temperature setpoint until the fan automatically increases in speed and air flows into the cabin

You can also adjust fan speed manually.

Thank you very much!! How about heating? same way?

In the user manual, I remember the manual says not to set the temp lower than the outside temp.... is it ok the way you do it?

Lastly, do you think this way will save more gas than turning on A/C?

Thank you!!

Yes, same way for heat.

If the outside air is warm-hot, then why not use the A/C.

I tried an extensive test with my car. One tank of gas with A/C on all the time and one tank of gas without the A/C. I just had the normal outside air blow in like you are doing.

My gas mileage was 1 mile per gallon difference. With the A/C on for the entire tank of gas, my car got 1 mile less to a gallon.

For this test, I drove the exact same drive area and time for both tanks. I even drove the same route each day.

So man, the point is, use your A/C and enjoy the cool air. That stale outside air just plan sucks.
