I need to know how to rotate the compressor housing of the turbo a bit. Right now we're upgrading a friends car with a T25 from a SR and the problem is that the compressor housing sits against the manifold and we need to turn it clockwise a few degrees to have enough clearance, and we don't wanna hurt the turbo that's why i'm asking for tips how to do it.

Just loosen the bolts on the compressor housing and twist the compressor housing to any angle you want, if its not mooving then give it a spray with WD40 or similar.

The only bolts on my compressor housing are used to hold the actuiator and the heatshield in place, or are u talking about the 4 (13mm) bolts that connect the exhaust housing with the turbine.

Mission completed. The 4 bolts(13mm) are the ones, it looked to me like these are the only bolts that hold the turbo so i gave it a try and like paul_S13 said, i was able to rotate the housing with alittle help from WD40.:)

You can always compress the snap ring on the compressor housing and twist that out of the way, that way the oil and water lines will all line up when you put it back together (rather than twisting the whole thing in the housing).

its not working for me. is there any other way? i am putting my turbo on a top mount manifold, so i have rotate the comperesor and exhaust side, so that the oil lines are up and down. i loosened the 4 bolts, but the exhaust side isnt turning i sprayed it with wd and gently tapped it to help free it up, but no luck. the compressor side did turn however, with out compressing the snap ring. is this gonna be a problem?

thanks
