Hi! I currently got 90 240SX with a SOHC engine. I am sick of my friends boosting past me in their sr20det powered 240's. I want to make my car run at about 200 horses to the wheels and the only way to do that is force induction. I would love it if anybody out there can teach me how to properly turbocharge this motor and also tell me what parts would i need. I know somebody will post and say get a sr20 so please do not post a reply like that thank you. I thank all who is willing to help me out of this N/A misery.

And this is in Infiniti General, why? This would be more results in the KA24E forum.

Anyways, to make it short, you need a turbo (obviously), manifold, wastegate, BOV, and new piping. Recommended items are an intercooler, high-flow fuel pump, boost gauge, and Walbro fuel pump.

Get an SR20DET. Not to be a jerk, but you'll spend more adding a turbo to your single cam than a swap would cost.

I have a rear drive DET in stock, $1700 with trans.

Not true. You can pick up the bare essentials (enough for around 5 psi non-intercooled) for roughly a grand.

Just read up on how turbocharged systems work, and you should be able to figure out how to piece one together. You won't want to have one unless you know how to fix it if it breaks anyways, so research is a must.

I am sure you could get a KA24DE pretty cheap. Considering everybody is installing the SR. You might go that route and rebuild the engine before you start turbo charging.

Call up Marc at that IAP site listed above. He has the stuff to make a Sohc kit.
