What type of car do you have, and what year? It's different on different cars.

Also, just to let you know, SES is not a technical description for the light. Many people do not know what "SES" stands for. When referring to the light, try calling it an "MIL". This stands of Malfunction Indicator Lamp, and is the technical term that the FSM (Factory Service Manual) uses to describe the light. If you use "MIL" to describe it, tech's will know what you are talking about, and it makes you sound more knowledgable, which is always a plus :)

Repairing the malfunction is good place to start since clearing the code with a Consult probably means it will just come back.
