how to throw codes on the SR ?

just can't seem to find the proper way to get my ecu to throw some code so i can figure out whats wrong with the car?

can anybody tell me the Proper way to do it?

i highly doubt that your check engine light would illuminate in any situation unless you wired in your consult as well.

in any case, just go to your ECU and you should see a small red LED and a knob that you turn with a small phillips. turn the phillips counter clockwise for 2 seconds and then back to its regular clockwise position. then count the flashes. long flashes represent the first number in a two figure code, short flashes represent the second.

so lets say you have a code "11". that would mean one long flash, one short flash. a long pause followed by more flashing means there is another code coming up.

key on/engine off when you do this. check out our tech section so you get an idea of how its done. the list of codes should be similar to the DOHC KA.
