It seems that in my rb20 s13 i put a slivya vlsd in, that it is not working right. I am not able to smash the gas and get sideways or even slide the car. Any suggestions or help.

There is a orange sticker on the dif that says VLSD. Getting sideways doesnt have much to do with a LSD more driver. Also suspension helps alot, stock suspension = failure.

Two easiest ways

1) Do a burnout..........if your vlsd works there should be two tire marks.

2) Jack up the rear of the car put it in 1st gear and turn one of the tires forward by hand......if you have posi then the other wheel should turn in the same direction, an open diff will cause the other tire to spin in the opposite direction.

Steve, I know I have a VLSD. Yes I do have an upgraded suspension, Just compared to other 240s that are RB20's, mine does not get squirly when smashing the gas. I dont know if it has to do with the tune or the vlsd is wearing out. Thats all.

It is possible that it is worn out. It is over 10 years old. VLSDs are known for the clutchs wearing out. Do you have your new suspension on?
