Ok, so I'm pretty sure at least one of my injectors is bad, but I have been told to ohm them to be sure. I've seen instuctions on how to do that, but I can't find them now. Can anyone get me to link or tell me how to do it?thanks

Pull the connector off. Make sure the terminal on the injector is free of corrosion. Using a multimeter, set it on the OHM position. Most are marked 20 ohms. Touch the 2 probes to the 2 terminals and it should read 10 to 14 ohms to be in spec.

If you find corrosion on that one, likely the rest are the same as well as the many other connectors that use that terrible spring clip. The connector contacts need to be clean as well.

at the very bottom of the connector there is a tiny metal retainer around the clip. It's a "U" shape that goes around the bottom of the clip. It is very very tiny, so u need to get a little screw drive and push it out. When i first looked for it im like WTF where is it, but it is there, trust me.

If you cant see it, look across the plenum at the other injector and you should be able to see a little slot at the bottom where the retainer wraps around. look at the front 2 injectors first, since they are the easiest to look at.

one u push the retainer back, just pull up on the connector and there you go.

Take a look on the front of the engine's top water pipe. The connector on the Coolant Temp Sensor is the same type as the injectors with the spring clip. Practice on that one first how to remove the clip. They have a tab that it locks under and very often that tab will break off on the injector connectors as they get brittle with age.I find an assortment of dental picks work well, especially the ones with the curved end as you can hook it under the clip.

I need an injector urgently and someone local is selling one but it's got 16 ohms, is that really bad, would it last at least a year?

0 indicates a shot injector, not 54. if they are reading high, most likely it is corroded contacts. clean them and try again.
