I know this is gone over alot, just wondering if i can bypass the crank angle sensor and jump the wire to see if the coil packs or injectors will go off. wasnt sure if i can run a certain signal to the wire if i have to get a resistor or something i am not sure on any of this but i have no fuel or spark and im asuming thats whats wrong with it since it does have power and ground (ca18det in my 86 corolla)

You are overthinking it. Pull the CAS out, leave it plugged in though. Turn the ignition to the run position and spin the CAS. The injectors and coils should fire.

i tried that, they didnt click. nothing happened.

so i was thinking...."maybe the wiring was done wrong" so i wanted to actually see if the CAS was working correctly if thats what the problem is if it will make the injectors click and coil packs fire. so this was going to be my temp fix untill the new CAS came in.

The wiring between the CAS and the computer should need no work during a swap. I doubt the CAS is the culprit unless somebody was hacking away at your harness.

Do you mean to say that you think the CAS IS the culprit? because it didnt make any sence saying you dont think the CAS is bad unless someone hacked at the harness. if the harness is hacked...then that would be the culprit not the cas... lol get what im saying?

im really hoping thats the issue.

That paragraph should be used as a form of execution

There is no reason anyone should be cutting or spicing any of the wires between the CAS and the cmputer when they do a swap. I do not think the CAS is a problem unless someone was ****ing with those wires. Otherwise the CAS is the last thing I would look at. In 13 years of messing with nissans I have seen one, one CAS fail and that was a seized bearing due to operator misassembly not the CAS' fault. It sounds very much to me like the engine harness is getting no power. If this is a swap you just finished and it never ran before then I think you made a wiring mistake somewhere go back through your connections and doublecheck them. Also check every fuse, you only have to pop a stupid little 10 amp fuse to ruin your day.

Well there is a red and green light on, on the ecu. and scott at tophat performance setup the harness and told me i dont need a relay/fuse box on the engine harness(the one that typically sits on the passenger side strut tower on LHD cars.

there is power going to the CAS but all i did was test it with a test light.

i havnt had the car running. i bought it at a jdm engine supply warehouse that is local. i bought the harness seperate.

i was going to purchase a cut off relay/fuse box to try and see if that would work with the car. i believe it has to be cut because dont the wires for the headlights ect run through there?

See if you get pulses from the sensor pins as you rotate the CAS. I can't remember if the power cuts off when it passes the window on comes on but you should see some activity.See if you have power at the injectors.I really think it's not these things but it doesn't hurt to check.

Well i went to canada to a JDM engine supplier and picked up an S13 relay box and now i have spark after i plugged everything in that i could find. i have one connector that comes off the box that doesnt seem to go anywhere it is a large 2 wire connector.

there are (2) 2 wire connectors and only one of them plugs in. is the other for the body harness?

i think its comming along. i just need to get fuel to the motor now.
