As in my past threads about my troubles with my 97 QX4 I have one other question. If I have replaced the speed sensor, ECU, and the speedometer head... is there a way to "manually" apply 12 volts to one wire at the speedometer cluster just to see if the speedometer is "working?" I have read that "sometimes" there can be a "break" in a wire that is not visible in the entire harness. In which you have to manually attach a ground wire to the negative side of the speed sensor and that it did work on a 2000 I30. I am wondering if this could be answer to my issues. The other thing I want to do is make the speedometer needle to bounce to see if it works without smoking it. Then maybe I can go from there. My last option is to take it the dealer and pay $$$$$.
