Hi guys ,im in oz and have a 1990 jdm q45a. It has full service history that is unfortunately written in japanese Is there a way of finding out if your car has had the guides replaced?Did nissan/infiniti dealerships keep records of cars that were fixed under the recall?? im guessing theres no easy way but thanks for any help

There was NO RECALL, almost every engine lasted thru the 70,000 mile warranty. If you bought the car brand new [and had all your 90 day services done at dealers] then there was a secret repair under QUASI-warranty until 100,000 miles or 6 years. [THE LEGAL LIFE OF ANY VEHICLE].

Most dealers participated by supplying free labor and Nissan paid for parts.....even cylinder heads. There were very few 90-93 that complied with terms so they ended up paying.

YOU MUST PULL THE FRONT COVER AND REPLACE!
