hey everyone, just wondering how you're supposed to tell if you're engine is knocking - every now and then my engine will kinda jump suddenly and you can definitely feel it (atleast i can but i'm always on the lookout for **** like that) i don't think anything's really wrong - just want to make sure...

because it, knocks. It's not a clever twist of phrase, you will hear it. A rapid banging noise.

My car does that sometimes, especially if its cold.

I havn't quite sat down to figure out what could cause the problem, but I'm leaning towards fuel, perhaps bad fuel, clogged fuel filter, or bad fuel pump.
