I bought my car with just over 61000 miles on it. Infiniti service records don't show a 60K service being done on it, but is there any easy way to determine if it has been done? I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars unless I have to.

Spending hundreds of dollars for preventative maintenance IS THE FUN PART of car ownership.

If the fluids [All FLUIDS] are not clean and clean as new, if the filters [oil, transmission, gas, air] are not clean as new, if the air intake and plenum and TB are clean as new, etc, etc.

Vusual inspection by trained experts.

In chosing to buy a USED car with 60k saving 65% over a brand new version...................you probably OWE the car a few thousand or more to set it right.

Avoiding deferred maintenance was the reason I made sure the car had a documented service history prior to purchasing it. On the sheet I got from Infiniti it shows everything having been done from air filters to more major stuff like ignition coils. The car definately doesn't need a lot in deferred maintenance. That being said, I will have the fluids checked the next time the car is in for an oil change.

In the abscence of data to the contrary, wise owners change all fluids and filters for a known baseline and for the knowledge they are adequate for the task and no other damage is occuring because of detiorated fliuds or lubricants.

One can cetainly count on the fact that ATF has never been mechanically exchanged nor the pan dropped and the filter replaced.

Same for PS. And who would trust a fuel filter in light of what is sold as gasoline today?
