What are the ways to tell an I30t from a base? I'm looking at 1996 which says its a t (it has the badge and the spoiler) but the rims are the same as my 1996 non t model, and I thought the t's had upgraded rims. Any other ways to tell? Would the VIN number or a CARFAX report indicate which it actually is? Also, how can you tell if it has the LSD or not? thanks for your help.

The firewall plaque will tell you if it has an LSD or not. There will be a model number for the transmission. If the model number ends in an A (RE4F04A) it's open diff. If it ends in V (RE4F04V) it has an LSD.

The only real differences with the Touring model were the BBS wheels, the spoiler, and the suspension. The VIN will show if it's a Touring car or not but I'm not sure which character denotes that.
