How to tell if ECU is Non - california, and manual?

How do I tell if an ECU for a 1993 Nissan 240sx is a Non- california, or california, and whether it is for a manual or automagic?....Is there a serial number on top of the ECU i should be looking for?....Also, I know this is not the buy/sell/trade forum, but if anyone has a non-california, manual ECU for a 93 240sx they would like to get rid of, please let me know..... Thanks guys...
