Hi again,

I did a search of NICO and found a vin chart, it does not include plain, active or T. Another member told me that you can tell some by body details, the 93-96 Q with a scoop is a T, they did not put a scoop on the A car.. I'm sure there are more details, but I don't know them.

Someone on this forum does I bet!!

The VIN will tell you.... I can run the VIN on fast...

You can look at the VIN plate on the firewall and it will have an H on the 4th digit.... For instance, mine is NLCG50XAEUG4

N= SedanL= VH45DEC= HICAS. if theres a H in this position its an active car.G50- obviousx= LuxuryA= Automatic TransmissionE= EGI (not sure what that is)U/V= Federal/california

The rest of the numbers are the option codes... For instance, G4 means it came with summer tires and heated seats...

I should post up all of this stuff on the forum, but itd take a while, maybe on a rainy (or snowy) day.

I'm looking at a car with rear thing glued to the trunk and can't tell from the picture what comes after the Q45.. assume T. this is the vin JNKNG01D3RM.

Can you tell me what this car is.

And, should be a different thread, but. does anyone know if the bottom of the 90-93 seat will bolt into the 93-96 seat.. it appears that it will

Its a 94 I know that, because its the same prefix as mine "JNKNG01D9RM" The 9 or the 3 is just a check digit, doesnt really mean anything.....

aye. sloppy discussion on my part. of course, a VIN database would do it, i just meant that while the average joe like me can DECODE a VIN to tell model, year, engine, restraint system, mfg plant, the active key is not there to be decoded from the VIN. hence why i suggested the 'H' on the firewall plate.
